The bird is smoked and safely tucked away in the frig in the basement waiting to be warmed and carved. We are picking up my mother-in-law this morning and are set for the kids and grand kids to descend on the homestead to visit and devour mom and dads Thanksgiving offering, we are so excited.
No work Friday…harrah…my plan is to finish the computer table/desk and then move on to the next WW project.
We wish all of you a happy and enjoyable Thanksgiving.

hehe at first, as I was reading it, I was wondering what the heck the bird was for—- your Thanksgiving! Of course… :)
Have a magnificent time with your family!

As each year passes I realize more and more how fortunate I have been over the years. For me Thanksgving has evolved from a day of gluttony into a time to reflect on life and take stock of all that I have been blessed with. Finding things to complain about comes quite easily and all too often those parts of life that are truly meaningful are taken for granted. Good health, my wits, my mother who has beaten cancer long enough for me to grow up and realize not only how much she has given me but to appreciate what an incredible woman she is, the health of my daughters as they become adults and make their way through the world, the opportunity to have a realtionship with my sister whom I foolishly ignored for most of my life, and the love of my beautiful wife who has chosen to share her time in this world with me. Without these I pretty much have nothing.
Good health, long life, much love, and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
