Well here’s the enitre shop, it is very small, less then 200 square feet, I am standing on the stairs taking the photos so you are seeing the whole thing. The last photo show the furnace room which I keep some other tools which are all on wheels which I use to roll into and out of the shop as needed.
Also in the furnace room is another bench which I have covered with laminate and copper which I use for my metalworking and brewing.

Derek, obviously the size does not hinder your woodworking. You’ve turned out some great looking projects!
You mention metal working and I see a sword on the wall. Did you make it?

Hahaha, small? It’s bigger than my bedroom! :) Well, ok, maybe a BIT smaller.
Nice sword too! Is that a computer in the corner?

Ted and Marcel,
As much as I wish I had made the sword sadly, no I did not. I am a long time Dungeon and Dragons player and one of the the fellows I play gave this to me for doing some woodworking for him. I find I use it it on occasion when I am struggling with a project to focus my mind or when I need inspiration of a fantastical nature. I also keep it so that should a burglar ever try to steal my tools he may be menaced with it.
Marcel, yes that is my computer in the corner. I keep the CPU in the furnace room and the bits are wireless so the only thing in the shop is the mouse keyboard and monitor which is mounted to the wall. I have a partially built cabinet for the whole thing I just have not had the time to finish it.

Just check out your shop and even though small it looks great. I saw your post on the workbench but only recently I’ve been noticing which side the woodworkers vice is on and it appears to be like mine on the right. I’m a left however your vice could be placed there because of your space restrictions. Again nice shop. bob

Bob,
Thanks for the comments, you mentioned the location of my vise, You are right on when you said space, I designed my entire bench to fit in that space. In fact I had a very hard time getting the tail vise setup properly, most (if not all) are shown as a mirror image of my own so I had to adjust my plan to fit accordingly. You will notice that I have a computer wedged into the corner of the shop; and when I am planing a long board I have to be super careful with the monitor otherwise my fancy 24 inch computer monitor will become a broken peice of junk.
I will admit that my setup is not ideal however it is all I can do for the time being.
Cheers,
Derek

Derek,
You have a nice looking shop. It is well organized and you have a nice set of tools to play with. I would enjoy working in there.
Thanks for the tour. I enjoyed visiting with you.

Thanks for posting.
It’s clean! Really clean. I don’t think we allow that here.
