Ok, so I have not been blogging yet. But, it seems as good as time as any. Of course, this would be better if it was like Star Trek, and the computer could capture all of this for me.
So, I have finished my 2006 projects, and am about to begin those for 2007. First on my list is an Artist painting table. This will be built of Oak, and take a few weeks to finish. (Note to self, work faster).
The next project is undecided. Do I start on those Adirondack chairs, or maybe some of the smaller items I want to add to an online store? I still have time to decide.

“beam the words up, Scottie”, but as we know, just as in the woodworking, it is all about the journey.
And what were your most prized creations of ‘06??

I’m almost finished with that Magazine Table. I’ll post it probably Tuesday. The legs are gluing right now. Top needs to be routed, and then I’ll be ready for assembly, staining and Laquer.

I have so many next projects... all undecided, until the wind changes, something sparks my imagination, or someone needs me to build something specific.
right now I’m trying to focus on everthing in small bursts, starting with anything I’ve already begun…. today I’ve gone so far as to dig out the lamp I started (that I’m brainstorming steam bending methods) and am keeping it nearby for inspiration…
Lord willing (and lots of luck) I’ll get it done in time for the Winter Woodworking contest.

Hi Bill;
—-ha! I’ve got projects in the wind for 2007 and 2008. Could probably go even to 2010 but no-one would believe me. Right now I’ve got bases of tree trunks drying that want even be ready for a couple of years yet and already I have ideas for them, of course until the wood speaks to me and tells me what it shall be, my plans are always open to change.
Then again some of these pieces can be quite large and full of bulk which takes some time to dry out and I am always cutting more tree wood, just to keep the process ongoing. Its a never ending story and I guess you might say I’m in this thing for the long haul. Folks ask me about what I’m going to do when I retire and then I show them my tree wood drying and try to share some of my ideas with them. I don’t do this much any more as I have found it just wears them out and they start feeling old and tired. Myself, well my best day is tomorrow and all the projects that come after that!
GODSPEED,
Frank

What a refreshing outlook, Frank.
