What we do and what we have! #1: Here we are!

Hi everyone! My name is Alison Hadden. My husband, Roger, is co-owner of Wood’s Cut & Grind in Milledgeville, Georgia. His step father, Randy Wood, founded this business in early 2000, and we’ve been growing and running strong, most of the time, ever sense. We own a tree surgeon business along with a portable Woodmizer sawmill. On the days we aren’t taking trees down, or trimming them for our customers, we have our sawmill up and running. We have pecan(often classified with hickory), hickory, cherry , cedar, white oak (as well as other oak species), and pine (many different subspecies). I would love to connect with someone who builds furniture or needs rough cut lumber for a project. The lumber is cut to specs, and my husband is awesome at his job, and is fast, I might add.

We also have a pole barn, where our saw mill operation is, that is overflowing with firewood. We have so much, we don’t know what to do with it. There are over 20 cords of firewood at the pole barn and the amount is steady growing. If anyone is interested in it, please let me know. It is in our way.

Our tree surgeon outfit runs daily. If you have a rare species of tree that you need taken down, we sometimes take the tree down for free in exchange for the logs it produces, we rarely purchase wood. In order for us to purchase a log, it must be a species that we would not normally find ourselves, or that is rare. We are also in search of Cyprus and in desperate need and want of it. Yes, I know what I’m asking for, and yes, I understand how difficult it can be to find someone who will part with a cyprus tree, but we want it and need it for our customers. Anyone willing to make a deal on letting us take down some cyprus trees, please contact me! We are also looking for cherry, cedar trees, and black walnut. Depending on the size, and condition of the tree, we will either take it down for free and clean the area, or work a deal with you. That’s all for now. Hope you all have a blessed day!
