I have a 16×18 workshop that I built with a 12\12 pitch roof. My wife has a potting shed upstairs with access from the outside.

I am posing for a picture in the awful mess . . . Im working on three projects. You can see: planer (center), router table (left) and table saw. My drill press and scroll saw are over to the right. I have a mess of tools hanging on the back wall to the right.

My workbench is an old grey metal office desk that my father got from an army surplus auction when I was five. I planked it over with 2×10 spruce and put it on casters. A matching 2 drawer filing cabinet (next to the desk) is the home from smaller power tools and my scroll saw.

I store my lumber between the floor joists above my head.

AND . . . above the door you can see my 12” colour tv . . . yep tv . . . with remote.

How’s the weather on there on the end of the world.

You are out in the area where a woodworker who has a lot of free plans. He’s also a baker and I believe that he fed a lot of people when some of the airplanes landed after the 9/11 tragets and they forced all planes out of the sky.

Not bad actually. We lost a good bit of the snow 2wks ago but got another 10cm and high winds last night. Started melting agin today.

NL did take quite a few planes in Gander and St. John’s at that time.

when I took my kids to the east coast we ran out of steam by the time we made it to Nova Scotia and so we didn’t get to see your beautiful province. Some day though.. I’d love to spend some time there.

Hi Zuki,

I just now got around to reviewing your shop post. You have an interesting looking shop and it looks cozy in there. What do you need a tv for? It is kind of hard to watch tv while running a table saw and you certainly can’t hear it over your router!!!. :)

Thanks for the post.
