Part 1: The Before & During
Well . . . another one of the projects on my DW list for this year is to do something with the top step leading into the basement. As you can see it is not very pretty. Much like the window well I recently completed. First thing I had to do was some destruction. I was building this with no real plan . . . although I do have a finished product in mind. Part 2: More work and the final product
Today was another humid day . . . so out I went at the step. I started by putting a strip of ice shield along all the edges where there will be wood on wood. As my shop is in shambles I had to cut the decking half way out the side door. Arrg. Next was the test fit . . . And attach all the decking boards. The final steps were to add the skirting and cut a slight curve . . . and voila . . . done. This was the original step
