This is my shop, such as it is. Small, about a 10’ X 20’ space in our garage and crowded. I was “allowed” to encroach a little on the rest of the garage while building the vanity in the picture.

Delta contractor table saw, Delta Shopmaster bandsaw, Delta 12.5” thickness planer, Delta Shopmaster BT Drill Press, Delta AP400 dust collection, DeWalt compound miter saw, a few old planes, clamps, measuring/marking tools, and assorted, not to expensive, hand tools.

It’s small, crowded, cramped and it’s a time consuming hassle to keep moving things around and unplugging and re-plugging into the one available power connection but, it’s better than not woodworking at all.

Looking forward to seeing them. You have an excellent place to buy wood close to you in Carlsbad.

I am looking forward to seeing your pictures as well. Seeing other workshops is one of the nice benefits of being involved here.

I enjoyed the pics of your shop, Most of are happy just to have a shop reguardless of its size. It affords us the ability to do what we all love.

Thanks for the pictures, Jack.

It does look like you have a lot going on in there. It is cozy but you manage to get the job done. You have some nice tools to play with as well.

Thanks for the shop tour. I really appreciate it.

My current space is my “expanded” space. I started out with only about 10X9 in the garage. The other half was then occupied by a tent trailer that we very seldom used any more. We finally found another place for the trailer and I could expand my shop area only to have one of the laws of the universe take over and it quickly filled with a larger table saw and an assembly table.

Probaly the biggest negative right now, besides the lack of space, is the lack of wall space. One short side has mostly household storage shelves and the garden hose. One long side has no wall. The other long side has the roll-up garage door which needs to remain useable. The other short has some storage shelves that I annexed but are not really designed for a wood shop. That’s my next opportunity for improving the shop.

That is a lot of equipment in a small space. Looks good.
