So many great projects

Great comment Ron! The number of project entries has been astonding of late. I remember when a project would stay in the recent 15 for a week, now your lucky if it’s in there for 8 hours to a day. The quality and quantity are amazing.

As LJ.com grows, I think each of us has had to find a way to make it work in our busy schedules.
For me, I try to visit each posting at least once but may not get back to them to read comments made by other jocks. .

As we continue to grow, I might have to adapt this strategy as well… who knows what the future holds

Hi Ron;
—-yes I understand where you are coming from, when it comes to keeping up here with all the new jocks and projects….and then also keeping up with the need to do work.

I myself like the LumberJocks here and all that goes on…..so can I find much time to keep up though….hardly! As to blogging, well I’ve been writing stories long before finding this place and yes I still have other sites I go too. I get up around 3:30 am, just to have time to write and practice ‘silence’, ( been doing this for all my life) some of those writings go here and some go to other sites….writing is a discipline that has become a part of my life. Ha!;....I used to be able to make it on 3 – 4 hours sleep, but the years are catching up, so now I wing it with 6.

Summer in NH is really very short and then comes winter and snow….long cold and many snows, so by January-February I’m starting to gauge the days by the snowfalls and where my woodpile is at. This means that in summer and fall I go out straight, but come to think of it, I’m out straight in the winter….oh well.

I imagine that as the place continues to grow with all the excellent worker’s of wood here and their projects, that their will be a shifting into more separate groups and parties….I like to call that de-nom-i-nations and again that’s how we’ve been taught, so lets keep on track.

Once again I have been out of town (nearly three weeks) and haven’t been able to keep up with current projects. I will be on the road again for another extended out of town trip. There are so many new posts to catch up with it will be a few long nights to see them all.

Ron, it is getting increasingly difficult to keep up, but to me that’s a good problem. Like you, I cannot say I’ve seen a project that didn’t present something worth seeing. The blogs and forums provide information, both professional and personal, to the point where it’s hard to digest it all. I read everything I see, and sometimes have to go back 4, 5, or 6 pages just to keep up. But it’s worth it. I will gladly add my voice to yours and say, Amen.

Wow, so much great stuff posted since my last visit. I just returned from another ten day trip out of town and now I need to prepare for a three month trip that will keep me running the sawmill forty hours a week. I plan to be in Oregon and am trying to arrange for an internet connection during my stay there. This will help to keep up with LJ’s and my website.

After checking the postings I have fallen behind on I have seen some amazing work from everyone, including some cool simple projects to superb craftsmanship and artistry. I will try and catch up with my comments as I have the time. Work has been at the top of my priority list and I hope to catch up here over this next two months.
