I'm a project manager for a Houston, Texas multi-family developer and builder. I'm getting back into woodworking after a very long seperation from being on the road, and allowing my work to dominate my life. I'm rebuilding my small garage shop, after most of my tools were lent out or given away when I was on the road. I'm building alot of jigs to compensate for not having the best tools, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Nothing wrong with jigs. Shucks, I don’t have a tablesaw yet, and am always coming up with some way to work around it. Welcome aboard!

Hey guys, thanks alot. You really make the newbie feel good. I appreciate all the warm welcomes!
I’m going to take a few pics of a few things I have been doing to try to get my little shop organized. Haven’t really done any major projects. I have made a work bench outta scrap material…2×8 with tool crip on side, and roll of builders paper on end for when I do glue ups. I built a mobil clamp station, and a charging station for all my old battery powered drills and…..things. Pics to follow.

I guess I never said hellow Top. Being an old vet myself I guess thats showing disrepect so here’s a salute and an FTA for you. I was in 14th Armored Div. Stationed at Fulda, Germany.Talk about wasting talent, learned how to kill for 19 weeks and never shot a bullet in anger. Such is life. Actually I didnt mind staying in the rear with the gear. I was an O5C 20 now don’t laugh. A GD RTO. My radios were in a APC so I had to learn to drive that too. that was fun. 70-72. Slept in on review day I was short and did’nt want to play soldier anymore. Have a good time here Top. Everyone else does. I’ve seen some of your stuff. Not bad for an old war dog. mike
