Yep, that’s just a Workmate in the front yard. However, it’s all I currently have. In a couple of months, my family will be moving to a new home where there will be no workshop at all really, just a 6’x6’ storage room. In the interest of space, I’ll be setting up an outdoor workshop, so this is really just training for the real thing.

I’m mostly a hand tool guy, but use hand held power tools right now to get the job done. Here’s a list of what I’m currently using.

Saws
Disston D-8 10 tpi crosscut saw
Warranted Superior 14 ppi crosscut back saw
Disston D-4 14 ppi rip back saw
Japanese “Z” saw with progressive teeth.
Black & Decker Firestorm Circular saw (which sucks on rips)
No Name Jig Saw

Planes
Norvell Shapliegh #4C type
Stanley #5
Diamond Edge #7
Norvell Shapleigh low angle adjustable throat block plane
Cheap-o block plane
Stanley #51 spokeshave
Stanley #80 cabinet scraper
Stanley #45 (still needs TONS of work)

My mallet is from Lee Valley, my combination square is a vintage Starett. I’ve got a bit brace and a couple of hand drills. In short, I’m in pretty good shape. No huge cabinet saw, occilating spindle sander, drum sander, or all that crap. Nope…just me and my few tools that I can throw in the back of my Grand Cherokee for the time being.

You know, that just makes me a happy camper :)

You didnt list a very important item that I noticed it the photo, your Black & Decker Workmate!that is a great tool in it self as far a I am concerned, I used to rely on a workmate 200 when I first started in my bedroom after comming out of the NAVY and getting a place of my own (since my parents made my bedroom thier new dining room)and I mostly slept on the couch.Keep it up, Rock-On
