Potato Bin #1: potato bin

no previous part Part 1 of Potato Bin series Part 2: project ready for paint. »

Well, I have been asked to get back in to my workshop and dust off my power tools (no pun intended) by my wife and make her a potato/onion bin. This is the first project since the birth of our first child back in early february. It has been a long time since I have been in my shop and it is nice to get back on a project even though it has been more difficult to find the time after work to complete it. Also, I have been strongly considering buying a dust collector (kids don’t do well with sawdust) or atleast that is what I am telling my wife to justify the purchase. Plus, no more tracking sawdust upstairs as I do my woodworking in my basement garage. I will keep you posted.

I am sure that a potato bin would make her happy and if you can use it to leverage a dust collector then go ahead and do so. The idea of eliminating sawdust is a good one. Also tell her it is vital for your health. After all now that there is a new addition to the family protecting your health is more important than ever.

Go for it.
