I have the attention span of a gnat. So my wife won’t let me have a table saw in fear that I would forget where I placed my fingers. I still have all ten so she insists without her, I’d be in Alaska, hugging a bear with nine fingers. I don’t have a garage nor a basement, but everyone here know, the urge to build becomes so strong that nothing can stop a woodworker from his passion, with the exception of the Home Owner Association that would frown if they found out what I’ve been doing in the living room for the last five years. So I quietly build things in my condo with the hand tools and some portable power tools I’ve taught myself to use.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. I love your work. I have always wondered how people with sawdust in their veins handle their cravings for woodwork when they live in apartments or condos or anywhere without a workshop. I will follow your progress.

Great way to do woodwork – keep it simple. Let’s face it, you can do a lot of woodwork without expensive tools. People have been doing it for centuries. You’ll like Niki here on this site – he also does a lot of woodwork with fewer tools and machines than most. And, he’s very good at it too.
We’ll look forward to your input on this site. Maybe you can teach us some things about doing woodwork with a smaller budget – that would be great!

Welcome!

Tuan, welcome to the site and thanks for wanting to tackle the ironing board I posted. I sure would like for some on to make them one and post it. The best thing to do with the dust in your condo is don’t vacum and let it build up in the carpet so ya can walk barefooted and still get the smell of wood even when you are not working. Semper Fi

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
