I was very excited at the end of this week. I’ve basically completed the four outer columns of the hutch and cabinet. I know it might be difficult to visualize what columns are doing in the project, but remember I made some modifications. It might also seem like things are moving slowly but my teacher is a perfectionist, which is what you need to be in this line of work. As you can see in the first few pictures there are lots of clamps. Clamps where important in this project because even though i purchased grade A plys, most of the wood was bent. Because of the imperfections i learned a lot about cutting bent wood and how bent wood effects the end result. At the end i called on clamps to help in the persuasion of straightening out the wood while the glue drys.

It looks to me like the case construction is coming along well.
