I was born and raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN. I've been a carpenter for about 8 years now. I work for a rather large residential remodeling contractor. We do everything form remodeling kitchens, baths, basements, build additions, decks, porches, and so much more. My enjoy working on all stages of our projects from demo, framing, insulating, hanging drywall, taping, tiling, installing cabinets, to installing woodwork. My part I enjoy the most is the finish work. I love setting cabinets, installing railings, trimming, and other custom woodworking. I get the opportunity to do some pretty cool projects, but would like to start doing more "woodworking." I'm slowly building up my shop tools, and am excited to start some personal projects. I want to actually start building small projects like game boards and things like that and work my way up to bigger projects. I really want to start building furniture and fun projects that I tinker around with at home. The worst part is having drag a bunch of tools out of my truck that I carry around with me everywhere I go for work. Oh well, someday I hope to have a big shop full of stationary tools that I can work with. Until then, I can easily get by with what I have!
