Lived my whole life in Ohio. In 2007 my husband and I retired and moved to NC to be near our children and grandchildren.
I always wanted to learn to do woodworking. When I was in school girls were not allowed to take shop class, so I can cook and sew. I watched New Yankee Workshop and wished I could. I have learned from books, videos and trial and error. This site is a wonderful addition.

I have spent some time ‘lurking’. Right after I joined, we, (my husband and I), made the decision to sell, retire and move to NC to be near the kids and grandkids. I am now in NC and my husband is outside wiring my new shop. It is cold today 65 brrr. I build a variety of different things such as… my fish tank needed a new stand, I did a scroll saw clock, crown molding shelves for Christmas gifts one year, mechanical whirligigs, my lawn furniture, the craftsman molding in my old house in OH before we sold it and other things.
Just wanted to finally say HELLO!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless
