I am a trim carpenter in the West Michigan area. My dad is a general contractor, so I have been around the building trades pretty much all my life. I have sawdust in my blood so to speak. :) I've managed to be blessed with pretty steady work in a slow Michigan economy. I am entering a new phase in my career of building custom cabinets for the houses I trim, which is very exciting! Sometimes I just stand in my shop and can't believe I get paid for this.
I read everything I can about woodworking, and I try to be constantly learning. I'm always looking for new tips and techniques to do my job better.
Oh, and I am addicted to Festool!
