Welcome aboard. That link in your profile has some amazing pieces. I especially like the furniture made from heavy timbers. Australia has some beautiful woods.

thanks all for welcoming me a board, it’s great to be a board. I’m not a board but it would be nice to be a board and when you get a nip/tuck you may end up a beautiful piece of furniture or the neck of somebody’s guitar.
Matt: as far as I know some of those pieces in the link with the REALLY heavy timbers were made from dismantled/recycled railway bridges, and demolished buildings. Glad you found time to check it out!
I’m picking up a lathe later this week for myself, (haven’t used one since I was a teenager when my father had one in his barn) hopefully then I’ll be able to make some time to use it, and some time to finish some other projects around here which I can post here for everyone to check out, still in the process of trying to organize everything here in the home shop – woodworking bench= 80% finished, setting up mitre saw stand tomorrow… the work here is never finished, and I’m sure you all can relate to that.
