I guess I should have cleaned up the shop before the tour, but I was so excited after borrowing the camcorder that I just had to jump on it and start using up digital tape as quickly as I could.
Thank you TOM!!!!! What did I have wrong?

Tom, thank you for fixing the video – I still don’t know what I did wrong with the cut / copy / paste action there, but I”m glad you had it handled so quickly. I was starting to worry there for a while.

If it’s any consolation, I wasn’t going to clean up for the tour, and oddly, it still looks like I haven’t. But getting around was such a chore, that winding my way through while peering at a 2×2 screen would have proven tragic.

Excellent! Your inspiration and motivation are well placed! Thanks for the cool tour of your shop. You guys fixed the video before I finished my comment – typical of the LumberJock support!

Au natural shop. The best way to keep it, like it’s just been used. Nice job Skee. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Skee!
When you click on “share” at blip.tv, use the second code instead of the first. That way a player is embedded so people don’t have to download the movie. With an embedded player, it will “stream” or play while it’s downloading.
Here's your code example. That's all I did, and I'm very happy to help. You're very welcome and thanks for taking the time to do your video tour and contributing to this site that I have found to be a real refreshing venue from the typical woodworking forum site. My hats off to the folks at Canadian Woodworking, Festool Owners Group, Family Woodworking and Sawmill Creek, but this site seems to stay more focused on the question at hand rather than getting into symantics or totally off topic ranting....like I'm doing now...SHAME SHAME!
LOL

Skee! Loved the tour! you have quite a bit of space in there. Do you ever have to share with cars?? If not, you are a lucky man. Now you need to fill it with a bunch of tools!

Marc,
A single car goes in the garage about 10 days a year. We are in MN, so when it gets below about -10 (F) we try to squeeze it in there. The garage is not heated, so during that period it is really hard for me to do a lot of work in there. Glue doesn’t like freezing, or at least that is what I’ve been told – I haven’t tried yet because I get too cold working in there on those days.
I typically woodwork from April – October and then spend November – March reading and studying and dreaming of a heated space where I could make saw dust.
Did someone say new tools? Sounds like a plan to me:
Step 1: Choose the right tools.
Step 2: ???
Step 3: The tools are in my shop.
Anyone know what step 2 is?

Skee, I love the upbeat approach you present with. Lucky guy with all that space at your disposal. What part of the state are you in? I’m in St. Paul. Great job.

Step 2. Days of rationalizing. (e.g.: It would help me do X so much better/faster/cleaner” or, “It would make me a better woodworker,” or my favorite “I have always wanted it.”)

YeeeHaaaa! What a ride! Such excitement it was hard to contain, wasn’t it? Nice shop, but that swinging back and forth and around and around is making me dizzy! %^(
