Sgt_Lobo's Workshop

Well, my workshop is my garage, as it is for so many of you. Not the optimal setup as I have 2 kiddos, a wife, and a motorcycle that all share my workspace… So, here is the basic breakdown:

Picture 1 – This is an overall view of my workshop from front to back. As you can see, my workshop is basically the rear half of the garage. My wife found the couch and chair curbside and just had to have them for the garage. We both enjoy spending the summer sitting outside and entertaining guests, which is usually done in the garage since there is usually a few drinks and darts involved.

Picture 2 – In this picture you can see my Ridgid sliding compound miter saw (MS1290LZ1) and my Ryobi router table with the craftsman fixed based router (17542) attached. Both are sitting on a rolling bench I made so in the hot summer months I can wheel it out to the driveway and save my workshop from some amount of sawdust. Also in this picture is my craftsman 6HP shop vac which serves as my “dust collection” system… Also in this picture attached to my workbench is my Dremel scrollsaw (Model 1800).

Picture 3 – Attached to the ceiling is my lumber storage. This is only temporary until I get some brackets and attach 2×4’s up there to keep the wood sitting level.

Picture 4 – This is the fixed workbench I made with an assortment of my tools. From left to right I have: A Ryobi scrolling jig saw, a Ridgid circular saw, a Ridgid router with both fixed and plunge base, a Skil orbital sander, a Porter Cable dovetail jig, a Ridgid cordless drill, my hand planes, and other assorted tools (some of which aren’t pictured.

Picture 6 – My office…Yes, this is in my workshop as well…

So, as I said before, this is definitely not the most ideal setup, but we work with what we have, and I have to work with the family as well…
