I am a fairly new woodworker with a small basement shop in an urban neighborhood in Nashvegas. It's my first house and first shop so this is a real journey for me. I did a lot of fiddling in my Dad's shop when I was a kid and am an avid DIY'r so working with tools in my hands comes naturally and it is a nice relief to do something tangible after all day of computer/office work. My other half is already assembling a list of projects for me to build and as such is enthusiastic about any tools I want to buy as long as they help build more stuff for her. But alas I am, shall we say, space challenged. Its probably for the best though as I can't go overboard with the tools just yet.
What a cool site! It is fantastic to have a place to see so much amazing work and actually talk to the people who did it. I look forward to soaking up all that this community has to offer and with any luck contributing something to it.
