I've been doing woodworking for years now. I got my start building decks and covered patios, from there I moved onto trim carpentry, framed houses and built custom doors. My latest adventure in woodworking has brought me from Texas way up to the Pacific Northwest to learn how to build traditional wooden boats. Currently, I am a full time student at the Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building in Port Hadlock, Washington.

Once I graduate in September my family and I will likely be back in Texas where I can build boats full time, along with other woodworking projects I can drum up.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Ahh… a jack after me own heart…

I’m deep in the heart of the Texas hill country, and our high school is “The Pirates.” Go figure. I’ve been around boats longer than I’ve been a woodworker (which means, right from the beginning.) You’re living out my dream with your boatbuilding adventures! So glad to have you aboard! Mind the rum, Skipper gets cranky when you’ve a dram too many!
