I had a friend of mine build the original shop which was 12×20 with 2 attached carports, but in 2002 my B-I-L and I did the expansion in one weekend.

yes oscorner, I made the sign. Printed the letters on my computer, cut them out individually, attached them to the wood using spray adhesive and them over to the scroll saw for an afternoon of sawdust fun…

A nice shop, with room and nice tools.

Wow, I see a radial arm saw! I have not seen anyone with one in their shop so far. Everyone seems to just have a table saw.

Nice shop, I have never had a large shop, Envious.
Radial arm is all I had for many years. I built a lot of stuff with it. It finally burned out about a year ago.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention what a nice bench that is too. What type of wood, and did you make it yourself?

Thanks Bill and Dick

I have since replace my RAS with a Ridgid 12” Compound Miter Saw, gave the RAS to my youngest son. He lives in Amarillo, TX and owns a Mini Storage Lot there. He uses the RAS and my old miter saw all the time to do repairs and upgrades.

oh Bill, you noticed that did you. I actually have 2 benches and made them both using just 2×4s and 2×6s. The tops are hard maple butcher block slabs I got at an auction for about $40. The drawer sections actually pull-out, so when I move I can break the becnhes into 3 pieces to make it easier to move them.

Hi Sawhorse,

Do you have any updated photos to post? What I can see here looks pretty good. You have some nice looking cabinets but of course if you have completed a new shop it would be great to see it.

I have these pics on my webisite, the outside still needs paint, the weather caught up with me and between the temp and the rain I haven’t been able to paint the outside…but just give me a week on no rain and temps over 60 degrees and the spray gun gets to go to work..lol
