Well today is Saturday and I am on a 24 Hrs Duty today. For all you that dont know in the Army we have to pull duty for 24 hours every so often, its not to bad but there is so much i would rather be doing besides sitting here at a desk all day. So like I was saying today is Saturday and I have nothing to do but sit here and surf the internet. I have been watching “The Rough Cut Show” podcast with Tommy MacDonald, I really like it. Right now I am trying to get cought up with where he is and it is taking forever. He is building a Bombe hutch that is just amazing. At the beginning he said it should sell for about $250,000.00, I can not imagine getting that much for anything I would ever make. Maybe some day I will be to that LVL. Who knows.
I have become addicted to Podcasts there is so much out there to learn from everyone that puts them things out. I have been thinking about making one myself about me learning our wonderful craft. What do you all think? I really dont have anything to offer anyone in turmes of knoledge, but maybe they can learn from the mistakes I make and what i learn from them too.
I have been doing some reaserch for period chests and and chairs, and beds and things like that for the SCA group I am in. There is a very large span of time that things can come from, any where from 600AD to 1600AD so there are a lot of things to look at. The project that i am working on right now is a Glastonbury chair. I should be putting up some photos soon so you all can see what I have got done. I really hope it turnes out good. I am making 2 of them for a couple that helped me get started in the SCA.
Well boys and girls that is about it for now, I am going to see if I can get something done tomorrow after I get off work and maybe i can get some pics posted then. To all that read this remember to always be safe and take your time.

Ah, the beloved “CQ” duty. Anyway, I too have been thinking of starting a (video) podcast to broadcast my utter inability to work wood. It’s all in the name of making other people feel smarter. Ha! Anyway, do keep us informed as to what you decide to do!

I think a podcast on SCA period furniture would be a hit I know I would watch it. I get ask to build period chest and chairs a lot. My son travels and works at the renaissances faire all over the country now for almost four years. and he has wanted to start making these to sell, but I just never worked it out with him. if you do this good luck.
I remember the dreaded CQ, never had the internet when I was in 78 – 84. I would sure made use of it.
