Blog entry by Roz posted 209 days ago 142 reads 0 times favorited 3 comments Add to Favorites

A few days ago I was reviewing some recient projecst and read a committ by an LJ who refered to a book of plans for Stickly or Mission style furniture. I think I was looking at a furniture project and the committ was made by another reviewer. I want find a copy of it but can’t remember the title and author. Do any of you remember seeing the committ? A llittle help for the CRS guy please.

I don’t know for sure which publication you’re referring to but I suggested these on another post last year.

Reprints from www.doverpublications.com

Arts and Crafts Furniture:The Complete Brooks Catalog of 1912
The 1912 and 1915 Gustav Stickley Craftsman Furniture Catalogs
Stickely Craftsman Furniture Catalogs: Unabridged Reprints of Two Mission Furniture Catalogs
Making Authentic Craftsman Furniture: Instructions and Plans for 62 Projects – Gustav Stickley

Others:

Shop Drawings for Greene and Greene Furniture – Robert Lang
Warman’s Arts and Crafts Furniture – Mark Moran (photographs of 100s of original pieces)
Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture – Robert Lang
More Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture – Robert Lang

I think only three of the four immediately above by Lang (and the Stickley in the group from Dover) would be considered “Plan” books. The others are catalog rerpints and picture books for inspiration.

WOOD magazine has also been doing a series of Mission Projects over the past few years.
