no previous part Part 1 of WWND- What would Niki do? series Part 2: Mitered foot jig for small boxes »

I, like many here have been amazed at the posts that LJ member Niki has provided in the realm of jigs, fixtures and set-up tools. I decided to pay him a little homage in the title of this collection of shop fixtures and jigs.

I finally got tired of knocking over my cyanoacrylic glues, only to later find some tool or other in a big amalgam.
I have a bunch of left over hiker mattress pad scraps from making ring inserts for my jewelry boxes. The light bulb came on, and here is what I came up with.

gluebox

The padding holds the glue bottles in place with just enough friction to keep the whole she-bang upright. I can pick up the box and have my most used adhesives available wherever needed.
Yes it’s a very inelegant little box, but I’m free of the sticky quandary, and it cost me nothing.

OK, I’ll say it; I just love little wooden boxes!

Great Idea Douglas.

What kind of box do you keep your pixels in?

Karson, I usually use a bucket to hold the pixels. I use a galvanized 10 gallon one with a wire bail, and a badger hair round brush (the hand wrapped ones, like those at Garrett Wade) for the spot applications. <hehe>

Great title… I see a shirt there, though only about 1000 would “get” it.
