Blog entry by Quebecnewf posted 362 days ago 256 reads 0 times favorited 8 comments Add to Favorites

Well got back in to the mill this morning. Cold here today -10C. Sawed up a few slabs and packed them in the shed so they won’t snow up.

I pack the slabs on a rack and then saw them up and put them in the shed. Spruce and fir. Not the best wood to burn but can’t see throwing them away. Use the whole log i always say.

Getting time to haul the boat ashore for the winter . End of another season. Time to grease up the snowmobile and get in the woods to cut logs

Great scenery and warming up for the winter time.

Any problem sawing frozen logs.

it’s fascinating to watch “another way of life” – one that involves boats as part of daily life.

There still some sun up there !
How much longer will you get it.
We used to loose it around September in Inuvik.
(4 hours in Sep down to zero in Dec.)
