Just my humble work space… based in a tight single-car-garage where a car really DOES have to be parked in, so there is no way to take over that space completely and everything has to be mobile, and portable as most things have to either be wall mounted, or stored elsewhere.

It’s a work in progress as I try to keep the essentials close by, to reduce the overhead of moving things in and out of the workspace for each project.

more photos to come as things get more organized..

UPDATE::2008/06/08

I added a wall tool cabinet that I custom modified from the original Fine Woodworking design and a Delta 16 1/2 Drill press that I got at a really great deal, and upgraded it with the Jacob’s 5/8” keyless chuck – WOW that was such a great upgrade and is highly recommended – that thing works so well, and easy.

I also started putting my workbench in place! Top is in, and is temporarily working, but I still need to construct it’s permanent mobile legs.

You have a start on your workshop. Bummer about the car but I know where you are coming from. You appear to have the basic tools to work with and you have a lot of potential with the shop. It looks pretty good for a start. I tried the mobile route for a while but eventually just gave up and put my truck outside. It simply got to be too much of a hassle moving everything around to try and fit the truck into my garage.

Thanks for the shop tour. I appreciated visiting with you and am looking forward to seeing more pictures as you get better organized.

Nice little shop. You’ve got to start somewhere.

I used to do my work in the kitchen of my last apartment , so be grateful for what you’ve got at the moment : ) L O L Now I’ve stepped up to a basement workshop in my new to me house which is about 10 feet wide and 18 feet long that I get to share with the washer and dryer and furnace and water heater , etc. , etc.. Someday I hope to get it respectable looking and snap a few pix to post here : )......... Have a great day…..I see you’re close to Boston , do you say car or caa ???
