I have been involved in woodworking as a hobby since the late 1990's. Most of my experience has been with scroll saw work such as fretwork and intarsia. I'm now starting to learn (or perhaps pretending to learn) some other aspects of woodworking. I'm focusing on box making and making things to improve my shop. I've got a load of projects lined up from the various magazines I've started subscribing to.

Thanks for the welcome. I’m a member of many online communities and this is the first time I’ve had so many different people actually welcome a new member. I’ve only recently discovered the site and I’ve already found it very useful for a novice woodworker. This site seems like a fantastic community and I can’t wait to join in with questions, projects and someday insight.

Thanks,

Pat

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Wow . . .thanks for the welcome. I feel somewhat guilty joining since I’m not really a woodworker . . .yet! It’s a dream of mine and I was enjoying what I saw and read on LumberJocks. Looking for inspiration and words of advice on how to get started.
