I think i have forgot to tell you all I am going to have no. 2 in OCT… All I know is it’s healthy
So I have been doing my best to judge when to go out in shop and when not to…... mostly not to …..

But I have been work on a tool chest when I can…slow go.

New additions:

(1) Rikon 14’ BS have not got to use it much but nice.

Also a surprise tool

(2) Delta deluxe bench top mortiser. Why a surprise, long story short.. I have be talking to a electrition about wiring of my shop and got into talking wood working. Well I found out he as the itch also.
He told me he bought this pallet of tools from a store. For some reason they did not get send back tool factory. So what he got is tools people brought back under warranty. He said he had gotten 2 motise machines and asked would i like one. I did not want to be rude so I accepted. Now I did have to buy 25$ worth of parts to bring back into new status but.. Well at same time he did tell me he is getting married in a week.

So in spirit of thing I though I would fix up a old Stanley #4 plan (lap bottom, clean, shellac, new hocks iron and chip breaker) also it would be nice if it was in a box.

I have got plane done and I am working on box.

Will post pic as finished project as time in shop is skinny at best.

What were you thinking

Yesterday after work I came home and got my daughter and we went for a walk. When we came home my lovely wife was home. she was siting in the kitchen crying. When I asked her why she said that she had dented her car. At first I got a little upset but then said it was not the end of the world. Now the tears were really flowing….

“honey are you OK , Are you hurt”
She just pointed to the garage still crying. A bad feeling came over me as I handed my little girl to her.
As I got to the garage, I saw that her car hit my TS and yes it did dent her car but my saw did not go undamaged.

I did not go back into the house. I moved her car. Pulled up chair and sat out in that garage all night thinking about what I was going to do.

P.S. Is it OK to Cry?

It is a frosty morning and I just went out to my heated shop and was trying to picture my new TS in it place…WOW it is going to be the center point. I Went and got it fri. at woodcrafters in Portland. What a experiences that was. They loaded up this 650 pound TS in my truck in the back and I strapped it down (I had to take a moment to saver the moment,, I reall have it). Now I have a 50 minute drive back to the place where I work ( they are giong tho store until I get the shop in order, should be tues, wed.) Any way I was go 65 on the freeway and i am well away from the car in front ( i know it will take more time to stop also i have a 600 pound crate on a pallet and I do not want it to slide into the cab with me). I start seeing red light flicker so I slow down a little. Suddenly it is all stop in front of me and now. With some praying and some luck I did get that truck stopped 15’ away from the car in front as i looked up I saw a city worker darting back and forth trying to get the rubber bottom off a road sing… people do some stupid things.

So I offer them to a needy LumberJock.
I live in Longview, Wa
U can pickup
or I can send to you and trust you send me back shiping
