« Part 3: and the Universe says Part 4 of Birthday series Part 5: 1/2 a Century »

and so the rest of my day was filled with incidents that clearly reminded me that the Universe was smiling down upon me!

Oh yes, I am special. I am the one that was giving the Universe a laugh for the day.
1. the leftover Chinese food fell out of the fridge and splattered all over the floor (and me).
2. the BBQ sauce squirted out of the bottle and .. yup.. went all over me.
3. the ribs caught on fire – and I mean caught on fire!!!! and well,, the charcoal crumbled as we pulled the “ribs” off the bbq….
4. I just don’t want to think about it… I think you get the idea.

Yes, the Universe is still laughing.

I know, I know.. feet back on the ground!!

That’s feet covered with Chinese food, bbq sauce and rib bones charcoal. I believe.

Hahahahaha, your blog is super. I can relate to this very well. I love to cook outdoors and the first and last time I did ribs, I wrapped them in foil. When they were done there was nothing but ash in the foil.

hahaha oh Fred… that is exactly what we had!!!
$30 worth of charcoal dust.

I was going to bake my bread in the bbq tomorrow but now that you and Karson have reminded me of my Universe conflict I think I’d better stick with the oven. Yah.. better just be safe on this one… Maybe next week the bread will go back outside to cook. Maybe.
