The Secret Birthday Present #4: Son's Skateboard

« Part 3: My Son's Part 4 of The Secret Birthday Present series no next part

After all the challenges I met to add the logo to my son’s skateboard, I have to say that I’m quite pleased with the result.

The decal is a “window decal” purchased at Staples. I sprayed a coat of clear-coat on top of the printed decal to prevent the ink from bleeding. I attached the decal to the skateboard by placing it on a wet layer of waterbased wipe-on poly and then coated it all with several more layers of poly.

I love how the wood shows through the “EA” lettering.

Neat job!

Let’s roll! Very nice Debbie, I’m sure he is going to love it. Everyone there at EA Games will want one. A third career?

good gracious me.. I hope not! lol
that was TOO stressful.
i could never do woodworking professionally – I’d have anxiety attacks every time, worrying about making a mistake.
