« Part 8: The Summer Shop vs the Winter Shop Part 9 of Our Shop series Part 10: 2007 Christmas Presents »

First,—- Tom—I know that since I don’t have pictures, it didn’t happen, but I’m telling it anyway!!

Yesterday was a rain day so Rick and I went to the shop to play with wood.. I mean to build something. Since my daughter’s cats have moved in, they have decided that they like to spend most of their time outside now and so we wanted to build them a house.

It wasn’t going to be anything fancy, just functional (well, as long as they use it, that is) and so we drew a quick design, cut some slabs of pine, and zipped it together using the DowelMax. Was that ever fun and easy—I lined up the DowelMax; Rick drilled the holes; he did the gluing and I stuck in the dowels.. and wham, bam, the house was finished in no time at all.

Uh, since there isn’t any pictures, even though you knew I was going to say this, but….no pictures, didn’t happen, nice story, good morning.

yah.. now if they’d only use it!!

We put a “swinging” window into our basement window so they can go in and out – rather than coming to the door 30 times a day—my goodness they are giving me my exercise!!!
We put the new house in front of the window with a walkway going right through..

We know you have a camera. We see all of your shop visits. Why are you not showing the results of Rick’s work.

Now, with that practice, you can build a dog house for Rick, or at the very least, threaten to.
