on the weekend we built the floor of the shed, next to one already standing.
The weather on the weekend was REALLY hot (someone said that it hit 36 C at one point). Then the weather was to change and rain was called for. We covered the floor with tarps and waited for the storm to come and go.
Last night we wanted to put one wall up, while we had some extra bodies around to lift the finished result. As you can see in the photo, the weather had drastically changed (notice Rick is wearing two jackets) ... I didn’t look at the temperature last night but it was supposed to have dropped to 5 C overnight and we had a risk of frost!
Here is the “pre-wall” photo. I’ll try to get a pix of the one wall and post it today.

The view beyond the shed has me wanting to grab a hammer and follow David up north to pound some nails.

I’d love to say that that is our backyard but it’s “just” a field behind us. We have a beautiful view—but, sadly for us, the farmer has decided to put the whole thing into ginseng and we will have to deal with a view of tarps for the next few years. (You can just see a field of tarps in front of the trees in the background).

Hi Debbie;
—-I saw were you offering meals and board, so I’ll take plenty of veggie, soybeans and tofu! Don’t worry about the space for my boarding, I’ll be bringing my own boards….
Great view…..
GODSPEED,
Frank

garden is off to a great start so feel free to eat whatever you want.
As for tofu, well, I’ll buy it if you make us something delicious from it.
Soybeans – usually a whole field of it behind the house, but not this year.. we might have to walk a ways to find some ;)

I know.. if we squint our eyes just right and imagine, it can fool us too…
but the darned tarps will be coming right up to the fence and I think it will be harder to imagine then.. sigh
(Not that I’m complaining about farmers or crops)

OMG…ROFLMAO….That picture of you is great Deb….Is that Willow you are standing on?
I’m with Frank, I love Edamame….of course I’d follow it with a steak but….
This thread has given me an idea….what if we were to collaborate on a project or projects. maybe each build a piece to be sold at auction with the proceeds going to a good cause. It would get the site and the full time jocks here some good publicity and we could certainly all have some fun with it.
