Cauls for panel gluing ? - 12 replies I borrowed some cauls for gluing up some panels and they work but I think they could work better.There is no crown on top or bottom piece. I think they should have a slight crown on one of the pieces.How much crown on say 30” cauls ? How do you create it ? Would several coats of poly be enough to stop glue from sticking to them ? |

Tack cloths, How important ? - 27 replies Ok, I just spent 2 days sanding.(Maybe with a few longesh breaks, I hate sanding). I know I should use tack cloths before finishing, but recently there was something about them possibly being responsible for fish eye.So is there an alternative method for clean up before finishing ? |

Has anyone tried staining Poplar ? - 13 replies I’ve glued up some panels for a project for my daughter.
