I have been doing woodworking for some 39 years now. Started out in a cabinet shop / lumber yard right out of high school. Changed careers after about 4 years and am now back into woodworking full time. I have always loved woodworking, creating something out of a straight piece of wood. I do custom woodworking as well as craft Mission, Arts and Crafts Clocks, frames, bookracks and other items.

This picture, as you can tell, is in my younger day’s!!! Some have named the picture *”Desperado”* But even back then I enjoyed helping my Dad with what ever woodworking or building he was doing..

I’m going to be doing the holiday shop (santa’s work shop) for a few of the local schools in my area ! I’m looking for ideas for fast , easy projects with little cost to make , so I can donate them for the under privileged childeren to give to their parents for the holidays (x-mas & such) . Childern of all walks of life also find joy in giving to their parents and other family members on the holidays , It gives them a sense of pride, and happyness! The school asks that I make sure that it would be something of a non-religious background to all cultures !If anyone has any plans or ideas please send them to me soon december 17th is my deadline. Thank you everyone that took the time to read this !Happy thanks giving!!!!!

Hi Max, I finally got to your home page. All your projects are great. I get jealous sometimes when I see everyones finely finished work, most of my projects aer a rustic and rough style.

Thanks for the welcome. I’m a member of many online communities and this is the first time I’ve had so many different people actually welcome a new member. I’ve only recently discovered the site and I’ve already found it very useful for a novice woodworker. This site seems like a fantastic community and I can’t wait to join in with questions, projects and someday insight.

Thanks,

Pat

Wow . . .thanks for the welcome. I feel somewhat guilty joining since I’m not really a woodworker . . .yet! It’s a dream of mine and I was enjoying what I saw and read on LumberJocks. Looking for inspiration and words of advice on how to get started.
