Hi, my name is Martha and I live in Chester County, PA. I am 36 yrs old, and yes, a female Lumberjock. Most of my woodworking training has come through self-study and lots of trial and error. When I first became interested in wood about two years ago, I knew next to nothing. But lots of reading and the willingness to try new things and research my passion has brought me a long way. Now I can talk dadoes and dovetails with the best of them, and I am very proud of my shop. I have yet to make any really large pieces, mostly I am interested in boxes, chests, and trunks. I have sold a few pieces and am currently making a commissioned chest, with another one on the waiting list. I am excited about this website and look forward to learning more about my passion!
