I am a network administrator for a District Health Department but love to be in the shop. I am married (20 years) to an awesome young lady who supports my ...endevors. I have three children, The oldest in college as a Jazz bassist, one in highschool and the other in middle school. I am in the process of finishing my new shop one paycheck at a time. Our new house had a 48X40 metal pole building and that is now my shop..Yes it is too big When you have to close it in and insulate it for cold Michigan winters. I am figuring it will take 3 years to complete it as a do not like to use debt. ( I know that is boardering on unamerican)
I look forward to learning and contributing where I can.

That is great.. so you know what I am dealing with weatherwise and setting up shop. Actually I was born and raised in the UP so the weather down here is great compaired to up there.

If you are in the market for tools go to the furlo auction site on the web and check out an auction that is comming up. It is a custom stair company that went out of business. Great stuff on the list.

A turning like the one pictured will probably take me at about 20hrs from start to finish.
