Here’s a bathroom vanity we made for a client a number of years ago. I never got back there to get a shot when the wall was finished.
It’s made using Curly Maple Veneer over bendy board, and Rosewood.
The curves were formed in a vacuum bag over a form, and an air bladder.
The finish is conversion varnish.

Thanks;
Lee

Hi Lee,
This is a nice piece. It is well designed and well built. I have to agree that the wood combination works well. I have never had the opportunity to work with rosewood but it looks great.
Out of curiosity did you consider putting a drawer handle on the false front?
thanks for the post.

Hi Scott;
Thank you.
Rosewood is a gorgeous wood.
To answer you question, it never occurred to me about adding a handle there, but now you have me wondering.
I would like to add one in a photo program, just to see how it looks!
Thanks;

Excellent job as usual Lee. Conversion varnish is a new term to me, does it have particular qualities?.

Thank you Grumpy.
Conversion varnish, also known as pre cat, or CV is a very durable finish. It is what we use on most of our furniture. It is used commercially by kitchen cabinet manufacturers due to it’s tough qualities.
Here’s a blurb from Valspar which covers the benefits better than I can:
Conversion Varnish Systems
Superior durability and UV protection.
GLOBAL RESISTOVARâ„¢ Self-Seal Conversion Varnishes are super-premium post-catalyzed varnishes formulated to provide exceptional finish properties. With superior chemical, moisture, mar and scratch resistance, Global Resistovar will pass all KCMA coatings performance standards when applied properly. This post catalyzed varnish is ideal for tables, office furniture, cabinets and other interior wood surfaces that require superior moisture and chemical resistance. Global Resistovar Varnishes can be applied as a complete self-seal system or may be used with a companion sealer if additional sanding properties are desired. They are available in clear and white systems.

I hope this is helpful.

You were away ahead of the curve onthis one Lee.
It’s just that last couple of years that the industry has figured out that the cupboard space doesn’t have to be equal to the sink space.
I love the contrasting woods .Just enougt accent wood to really make and elelgant statement.

I appreciate the compliment!
