Part 1: Anyone been to or going to the Grizzly Tent Sale this Saturday

I think I will be heading to Springfield, MO on Saturday for the Grizzly Tent Sale. As long as I can convince the wife not to kick me out afterwards that is. I’m still looking for a 20” planer, and I think I’ll go with the Grizzly. Anyone else going? Anyone else ever been that would have some advice for us newbies? What time to get there is my biggest question? I am going for one very specific item and do not want to miss out on it. Sale is from 8am to 3pm.

Part 2: Grizzly Planer - PICTURES ADDED

Well, I got it. I bought the 20” Grizzly Planer with the carbide head. Got it home just before the rain and have it mostly put together. Man, there is a lot of oil on those things. I don’t know how many rags I went through trying to get the oil clean off. Then i plugged it in and fired it up, ran well, but threw oil all over the shop. I guess the carbide head holds more oil under the blades than I thought it did. I had wiped it off, but it is hard to do with all the blades in i...

Part 4: Not new, but a 12" Kity Jointer

This is the one I asked about a week or so ago. Finally got some pictures of it last night. 12” blades, over 5’ long table. This thing runs great and pretty quiet. It is very heavy and appears to be well made. Normally this model would have a 12” planer underneath the jointer (like a Laguna) but this was ordered with out the planer. Most of the parts are there to get the planer working. The only thing missing that I can see is the chain/belt system that powers the rollers...
