I first got experience in the construction industry when I was a teenager and have always loved designing and making things. Sometimes the design is as satisfying as building the project to me.
I went from helping other carpenters build houses when I was 17-22, to doing my own 5 room addition a few years back; my projects have gotten smaller as my skills develop.
I am somewhat of a "jack of all trades" type of guy, who likes to tinker with all aspects of construction, but I definetly feel like I am in my element in my shop, especially early on weekend mornings.

Thank you gentlemen for your welcoming comments. I need to spend a little time on how to use this great forum and get a picture etc. I am getting excited about my end grain cutting board project. The planning and design stage is as satisfying to me as making something.
