Dusty's father is back in the hospital

hi karson, thank you for posting this tragic news from a fellow lumberjock !! my father is 85 so i know the shape they are in … yes our journey here on earth is short .. and some of my fondest memory s is with my dad ... one of my earliest childhood memory s ( actually the earliest i remember ) is of me helping him make a book shelf when i was maybe 3 yrs old i wish we still had it !!! as it is the earliest i can remember back … please let Dusty know my thoughts and prayers are with him, his father, and his family!!......... and now i will call my dad and tell him i love him … sincerely , lumberjock Dennis

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. I am humbled.

Today is a better day for my father who remains in the hospital. His confusion is less as a result of lowering his fever and getting the infection back under control.

Besides the serious injury’s he suffers from Advanced Parkinson disease so this complicates things more than normal.

Slowly we move forward. His comfort comes from the caring and prayers.

I will keep you posted.

Even in dark times you all give me hope and provide the light to show the way.

I extend a heart felt thank you along with appreciation. I remain humbled and full of gratitude for your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you seems so inadequate.

Sometimes the painkillers, can through a persons mind off balance.

I’ve experienced seeing it happen to Barb’s Dad when he was recovering from surgery. He came out of it later.

You know I’m thinking and praying for you and your father Dusty. Dick is right, pain killers can really, especially in an older person, seem to befuddle them even more so than a regular adult. Prayers. mike

Both of you are right about the painkillers. Although, his pain killers are limited because of other factors they are accessing they still are a factor.

Today, he was released from the hospital and returned to the “swing” room in the extended rehab nursing home.

They found a blood clot and are treating it with medications.

He still experiences a fair amount of confusion and periods of disorientation. Time will tell of this is directly related to the medications and trama or other factors such as his Parkinson disease advancing.

We all remain faithful and with hope, and are great full for all the prayers and support.
