I can’t imagine the shipping cost of 5000 b.f. I’m sure it would still be a deal if you could get it for $1000!

Hi Karson,
I check this site regularly. It’s kind of sad to think of all the people who are out of work in the industry. The machinery is selling at about 10 cents on the dollar. I guess these companies can buy new cheaper in China than they can ship it from here. But there are some great buys on lumber if you are close enough.

Too bad so far away, otherwise I would like some of that wood.

Obviously that machinery is too big for my shop. But nice to look at.

I wonder how much it would cost to ship a single lot of that wood to Texas? Who would ship it and how to make arrangements?

Wally – I had 300bf of lumber delivered to my house in Texas from Tennessee and it’s cost $190.

It would be less if you had a place with a shipping dock to deliver it to. If you pick it up from a local
shipping point it would be even less.

SAIA trucking was used.

I don’t know how they run the auction, but if a high enough bid has been made it shows reserve met. So if it doesn’t have that I don’t know what they do at closing of the auction.

I just spotted one of your links to IRS Auctions. LOL, Thats where I got the Laguna band saw I have been telling you about with the guides. Also a combo 10” X 48” Powermatic belt and disk and belt sander and back around May I picked up 200 BFT of FAS Kiln dried red oak for $289.00 Delivered. That was another story, in short they dropped it all in the street in front of my drive way. But for around $1.50 a bft I cant say much.
