Bowed Keyboard #3: More on the wheelharp
This is a another installment of the construction of my instrument, the wheelharp http://lumberjocks.com/projects/3563which is designed to try and mechanically emulate the instruments of the viol family- bass, cello, viola, and violin. There have been multiple attempts at doing this over the past 500 years or so, and this one is quite a bit different than anything I have run across so far. It is interesting to see how how other builders solved the problems I had.
