Tablesaw Improvements #3: Power switch, get out of the way!

Now that big power switch hangs out way on the left. Got to neaten that up a bit.

Oh, and I nearly forgot, look at the new rip fence max distance! Whoo hoo!

Almost 35 inches!

Anyway, back to the power switch.

I simply unbolt the big green steel plate it is attached to.

And the big angled support arm.

Hrm. The big green mounting plate can’t simply be removed, as they ran the electrical through it. Damn.

Guess I have to de-wire and re-wire it.

I took a few photos of where things go for memory’s sake, but it turns out Grizzly has an excellent clear wiring diagram in the online (color) manual. Go grizzly!

Much wiring and head scratch later, the big green tab is off!

A few quick holes right into the body, and I re-use the screws that mounted the power switch to the big green mounting tab, and voila!

Why, I could even remove the entire left wing…

Hrm….
