Married 38 years, 2 Grown "Kids" (men, now but still kids to me ), 2 grandkids, I live in Westport, CT in a beautiful setting about 200 yds from LI Sound. You can hear the water, wind and gulls.
I enjoy sailing, golf, snow skiing and am now trying to become a wood worker. We are avid travelers and I consider myself an accomplished photographer, primarily wildlife photography. I have photographed everything from bears in Alaska to hippos in Africa.
I have enjoyed woodworking over the years as a hobby. Now semi-retired I am looking to try and develop real skills, eventually would love to build a small sail boat. Although building a large sail boat would be a dream, I own one though I did not build it, guess I would find more enjoyment in crusing in a boat I built - but much more security in a boat built by others. Open water is not a time to find out you used the wrong joinery technique!
Semi-retired, I am still a partner in a business that provides management consulting and sales management training services. A partner and I developed this company 35 years ago and as the story goes, we never looked back. Not sure where all the years went, it seemed like only yesterday, well maybe a few yesterdays. You know you are getting old when your top managers are as old as your children.
A friend told me of this place and how much you can learn with the experts, so here I am, once again a student in life.
I hope I can learn and maybe offer a little at the same time.
Jeff
