I've been a wood worker most of my life - basically the "whatever was needed and we can't afford to buy it" type. In 1997, I was replacing all the joists in our enclosed deck when my wife decided I was ripe for a mid-life crisis. Rather than let me select my own, she assigned me woodworking – “Almost as much fun as a sports car and a lot safer than another woman!”
Today I have a separate building, 20' x 30', as my shop. It consists of two rooms, 10' x 20' (the store room) and 20" x 20' (the wood shop).
I specialize in whatever my wife wants at the present time - cabinets, furniture, toys, home improvements, etc. I also made gifts for family and friends.
I'm teaching my second class at Woodcraft on making small desk clocks and pocket watches this April.
I am a member of the American Association of Woodturners and its local chapter, the Inland Northwest Wood Turners.
