no previous part Part 1 of Pens for Soldiers series no next part

It’s about 9:15 Saturday morning and my wife and I a headed down to Woodcraft to turn pens for our boys over seas. As I was talking with my family about this we ended up with a lot of volunteers. So hopefully this year we can get a lot of these done. I will write about all that went on and how we did. I would also like to put some photos up for everyone to see.

Well Saturday went very well. We stayed till about noon and there were over 100 pens made. And to my complete amazement my wife actually made two pens! Now bear in mind that I have had a lathe and all of the goodies and she never once showed any interest in it. We also had a church group there about 5 12-13 year olds and boy did they have fun. So I hope that who ever gets these pens will email us or have time to send some letters back to us. And if anybody else went to their local Woodcraft and contributed I am sure that even though they are just pens to us that they men a lot more to those who receive them.
