Or, just how badly can I screw up my first blog entry? This isn’t like a mistake in woodworking that you can change to something else (“Let me show you my collection of hand-carved mahogany toothpicks”) or use for firewood. No, this is out there for the entire world (or, at least that portion of it that counts … i.e., woodworkers) to see. At least it should be good for a few laughs.
This is a “dry run” to see if I can make the entry properly for the bookcase competition. The photograph (carefully selected, of course) is the Great Day when the throne was turned over to His Majesty, Joseph I, Emperor of Courland. Let’s see how well this works, or if I have to go through the tutorial again.
Oh, crud. NOW I get it. Let’s try again.
I will be sworn-hoggled. It worked. Now if I can just get my hand-drawn picture of the bookcase I designed into JPG, I should be okay.

Hey Hibernicvs.. it works ;)
Note that you can edit your blog entry even if it’s already published. And there’s always handy PREVIEW button to see the final formatting.
One tip.. check again the video screencast section dealing with the Photobucket uploading process – there I show how you can let the Photobucket automatically resize the picture to 640×480 for you. Content area at LJ.com is exactly 640px wide so your pictures will fit nicely.
Hope this helps.

It does. I may get another chance to fine tune the entry; right now what with taxes and reports for clients I’m a little pressed.
