Hi all. I’m a semi-retired National Park Service Maintenance employee. I do work 3, 4 hour days a week as a clerk in a large hardware store in Port Angeles, Washington. I do love this job. Helping people solve plumbing, electrical, DIY, Painting, and on and on, problems is a real hoot. I work with a great staff and surrounded by every new and neat tool you can think of. What could be better?
I have been working with wood and carpenter projects for several years. I have been collecting the main woodworking equipment for the last 10 years or so. Now it’s time to build a shop, so I can move ‘ALL MY STUFF’ out of my cold, damp, dark and low ceiling basement. I have submitted a building permit to the City of Port Angeles for a 24’X24’ Garage (actually a shop). My intent is to document the building of this shop with pictures and commentary. I’m building the shop myself with help from friends.
As for projects, I have a guitar, violin and a mountain dulcimer under construction as I type this. I have not touched any project for sometime now. I’ve got to complete these projects someday. I have made projects such as: Gun Rack (for my son), Collectible spoon display rack (for daughter-in-law), swing cradle and high chair (grandson), a wine bottle rack, a telephone table with drawer, and several other pieces of furniture (for my wife).
My pride and joy project is the guitar I built while living and working in Denali National Park, Alaska. Please see my Buddy Icon, and Project titled ‘Little Red Neck.’
I have really enjoyed visiting the Lumberjocks site, and seeing everyone’s projects and workshops. Keep up the good work.

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless
