Harold's Workshop

I will have to take some pictures of the tools and work areas I guess, but for the mean time I used a couple pictures outside our home. We live on solar, and a 400 watt windmill (that doesn’t work very well) so we use the power tools when the sun is shining and we don’t when it’s cloudy. We have about 1200 watt’s of mostly second hand panels connected to 2-60amp charge controllers that feed 4-L16 batteries converted to 110 volts with a Trace 2412 inverter. It’s not fancy, not expensive and it doesn’t have all the neat bells and whistles. It just works and it is simple to maintain. I have a 13” planer, 2-10” tablesaws, 2-bandsaws, an 18” drum sander, drill press, 12” sliding miter and a 10” miter and a rigid spindle/beltsander. All these are kept beneath the house or the canopy you can see in the picture. My handtools chisels and planes, are kept inside.
the pictures from left to right are, that noisy windmill, the canopy and table outside, you can almost see the ocean thru the Vog, Sunset, a old chair mockup made from pallets, HVNP this is where the lava meets the sea, and one of the shope built glue jigs I use.
